stand of New Zealand native forest.

It is just a short two minute stroll from where you'll park to find your secluded hideaway, yet you'll feel like you've been transported to another world. This is a gorgeous studio retreat complete with designer kitchen and cool mid-century styling, tucked under a canopy of beautiful bush and overlooking farmland to the sculptured hills beyond.

Soak in the cedar hot tub under giant ancient puriri trees, listen to the chatter of the moreporks, tui and kereru (giant native wood pigeon) or wander the myriad of tracks that crisscross the bush to find quiet spaces to read or just sit and think.

If you feel like exploring the local area there's a range of activities to choose from: enjoy the fantastic walks, visit a vineyard or two or ride a horse along Pakiri beach. Check out the famous Matakana Farmer's Market on a Saturday or head to one of the many beaches.

Of course, if you just want to relax, stay in bed and watch movies on your very own projection screen or choose from a selection of vinyl to play on the old-school hi-fi.
